Hertzler, MD - A book rich in anecdotes, Dr. Hertzler's book is a lively and somewhat rough and ready depiction of the country physicians experiences in the early part of the 19th century. Arthur Hertzler was a country doctor in Kansas who tells the story of his ups and downs treating patients in their homes. This book became a Book of the Month Club selection in the 1930s and has been translated into 18 different languages. It was also adapted into a radio program for the Hallmark Radio Hour.
